Answers to Quiz
Hillary being the only person to post answers to this quiz is Teacher's Pet, even though her entry seemed to score high on the entertainment meter. The rest of y'uns better bone up for the next quiz, 'cuz it's a'comin'. (The last sentence is my hat-tip to her answer for Question#1 -- ha-ha, made 'ya look. )
From my interview with Dad in August 2001:
Richard Carlton Burns graduated from Bloomington High School (home of the Panthers) in Bloomington, Indiana, the third week of May in 1941. He left almost immediately for Indianapolis to attend business school. His first job was as a front desk clerk at the Colonnade Residence/Apartment on N. Meridian in exchange for room and board. His room was a penthouse studio and bath. Shortly after, he was joined by his brother Gordy who enrolled at the same business school and roomed with him.
