A Thespian Among Us
Great-Grandma Mare is going to play the part of Lillian -- a lady in a nursing home -- in a Musical-Drama at Garden Heights Baptist Church in Belleville, Illinois on Sunday, December 18th at 6:00 p.m.
Some members of her church (Christian Family Church) will join the choir from GH Baptist for the presentation -- "Twas the Last Mailing Day Before Christmas" ... Should be fun.

This made me think of the time when the Mom and Dad were heavily involved in the PTA at my elementary school (Dad was pres at the time, I believe). They were hosting a variety show (fundraiser, perhaps) and Mom and Dad performed in several funny, funny skits, the mosts memorable being the one in which she impersonated Phyllis Diller on the theme of stuffing the holiday bird. It was a HOOT!
I got a chance to see the video that Vicky & Doug shot of the performance. It was a very creative stageplay with a different approach to the holiday pageant. Mary Anne did a great job with the part of Lillian. I am glad I got to see it - even though I could not attend.
