Dyer Declamation: Doggie Decorously and Delightfully Dubbed

However, he'll lick your chin if you just call him Captain; he'll lick your chin if you just call him Jack. He'll even lick your chin if you say nothing at all but just look the slightest bit friendly. So it seems the whole name thing is solely for the humans.
Captain Jack's behaviors and appearance seem to be leaning much more toward border collie than lab, so Dyers are reading up on this high spirited, easily trained shepherding breed. (Anyone have a spare gaggle of geese or ducks that Dyers can borrow for the Cpt. to "herd" so he can find fulfillment in expressing his natural proclivities? Border collie experts actually recommend it and their 6-year-old tabby Carmel just isn't signing on for this gig...)
